Trustee vacancies

Petersfield Counselling Service (PCS) is a highly respected local charity which provides counselling for the people of Petersfield and surrounding areas.


We have ambitious plans and need trustees to join our board who will help develop and expand our service. We are looking for trustees with some of the following skills and experience:


• Finance/business
• Governance
• Significant experience of counselling or managing a counselling organisation
• Fundraising for small charities


Applicants will need to have:


• the ability to work as a team with other trustees
• an understanding of the role and responsibilities of a trustee
• the willingness to attend meetings and communicate electronically


Trustees typically meet once a month in Petersfield in the evening and also once per year on a Saturday to set strategy and operational objectives for the organisation.  This is a voluntary role.

We are currently planning our CPD days for 2024/2025 and will post new information here as soon as details are available.


PCS offers three 6-hour Training Days each year.   

These are opportunities for counsellors to work together for professional development and to share good practice.

Saturdays in Spring, Summer and Autumn     10.00 am – 4.00 pm

Cost:   PCS Counsellors – free;    visitors  £65;      former PCS Counsellors £50
